At Financial Service Standards (FSS), our goal is to be the yardstick by which service excellence
is measured in the financial industry. We define the minimum
standards of service and provide solutions that exceed those
standards for optimal results.
Our Standard
Educate. Advise. Guide. The foundation for all FSS tools and
programs begins with these three simple concepts. Financial
professionals should have a method of educating their clients
to make them more informed investors and investment stewards.
They should have the knowledge and training to be able to
provide advice that can help the client meet their objectives.
They should have tools to be able to provide continued guidance
and monitoring once a program is put in place to help ensure
the continuing needs of the client are met.
Our Program The 401k Service
Solution™ for Plan Sponsors is a program designed
to guide Plan Sponsors and Fiduciaries through plan development
and design, investment management selection, employee education,
legislative changes, and ongoing plan administration and monitoring.
Each step follows a unique process to identify a plan’s
particular needs, provide solutions to address those needs,
and create a clear course of action to make managing a qualified
plan simple.

Our Training The
401k Service Training Program™ for Plan Advisors educates industry professionals on how to address the critical service issues facing retirement plan sponsors. The program
is accredited through Robert
Morris University in Pittsburgh and is offered in two formats -- Classroom and Online. Those who successfully complete a final exam receive the Professional
Plan Consultant™ designation as well as exclusive
access to the licensing rights enabling them to use The 401k
Service Solution™ tools to help build business and service
plans to a higher standard.

Our Future
FSS currently has several programs under development including
The Financial Planning Solution. This program consists of
a complete turn-key service model for servicing the needs
of individual investors by providing tools (worksheets, checklists,
summary templates, marketing pieces, etc.) to cover all aspects
of financial planning including: budgeting, risk assessment,
investment policy statements, insurance needs, asset allocation,
client investment education, goal setting, estate planning,
and investment monitoring. Also under development is The Insurance
Solution for Insurance Professionals which consists of a set
of tools to ensure the ongoing insurance needs of individual
clients are addressed.
